Chipped Stone Age
The Chipped Stone Age was a prehistoric period that preceded the Bronze Age, known for being the first phase of prehistory where humans began to use stone tools.
During this period, humans produced cutting tools from chipping stones such as blades, scrapers, hand axes, and other useful artifacts.
Furthermore, they have also demonstrated the ability to create rock art, such as cave paintings and engravings found in various parts of the world, such as the famous caves of Altamira, Spain and Lascaux, France.
A very interesting fact from this time was the discovery of musical instruments made of bone and other artifacts that indicate an early form of artistic and cultural expression. Researchers believe that the first musical instrument invented was the flute, the oldest one found by archaeologists in Germany, probably created almost 82 thousand years ago.
